I am “V,” an MBA graduate with two decades of experience in Sales, Finance, and Management. Before 2020, the idea of investing in cryptocurrencies was as foreign to me as a language from another planet. Little did I know that my life would take an extraordinary turn when I first ventured into the enigmatic realm of cryptocurrencies ultimately leading me to start the Crypto Gree Blog.
Chapter 1: The Crypto Call – A Leap into the Unknown
Before the year 2020, my life revolved around traditional finance and the corporate world. Cryptocurrencies were nothing more than buzzwords whispered in the corners of tech-savvy circles. It all began after the chaotic year of the COVID pandemic. Amidst the chaos, a close friend shared his success story with crypto investments. His excitement was contagious, and I found myself intrigued by the potential of digital assets. I took his advice and dived in without a second thought. After all, who doesn’t want to seize an opportunity in times of uncertainty? I too decided to leap, hoping that this might be the chance to secure my financial future amid uncertain times.
Chapter 2: The Leap of Faith
On that fateful day, 11th April 2021, I made my first-ever cryptocurrency purchase. The adrenaline rush of investing in a digital currency was unlike anything I had experienced before. With the counsel of my friend, I wisely adopted the strategy of “buying the dip,” hoping that this approach would lead me to financial prosperity. Little did I know that this very decision would come to define the course of my crypto journey. I invested around 10,000 USD, believing that this would be the gateway to financial prosperity. Each click felt like I was planting seeds of future wealth, and I eagerly awaited their growth.
Chapter 3: The Peaks and Valleys – The Rollercoaster Ride
As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, I witnessed the tumultuous journey of my portfolio. At times, it soared, instilling a sense of euphoria, and at others, it plummeted, dragging my hopes down with it. But alas, the crypto market is a double-edged sword, and its unpredictability soon came into play. By mid-Aug 2021, the winds of fortune shifted, and my portfolio took a nosedive, shrinking to a meagre of 3,000 to 4,000 USD. The euphoria of early gains was replaced with a sinking feeling of dread and uncertainty. It was during this period that my friend, the same one who had initially inspired me, revealed that he, too, had faced significant losses. It became evident that both of us had made decisions based on flimsy knowledge, relying on mere gut feelings and the advice of self-proclaimed experts.
Chapter 4: The Shift in Strategy – A Desperate Turn
Distraught and desperate to recover our losses, we immersed ourselves in the sea of YouTube videos, blogs, paid Telegram channels, and surfing countless websites, hoping to find a way to predict the unpredictable, We consulted self-proclaimed crypto geniuses too. My friend and I decided to adopt a new strategy – shifting our focus from SPOT trading to the seemingly more lucrative FUTURES trading.
Fuelled by hope and the belief that this shift would help us recover our losses, we invested another substantial sum of approximately 10,000 USD. However, fate had other plans. By the 4th of October 2021, all my dreams of crypto wealth were shattered. The merciless market claimed my hard-earned money, leaving me in a state of despair. My friend shared the same fate, and we were left grappling with feelings of failure and frustration.
Chapter 5: Sinking into Darkness – The Abyss of Loss
In the aftermath of this devastating blow, I found myself descending into a dark abyss of emotions. Sleepless nights and relentless anxiety became my constant companions. As a family man, the weight of my failure was overwhelming, pushing me to the brink of depression. I questioned my abilities and my decision to venture into the volatile world of cryptocurrencies. this weight of my failures was crushing me.

My wife became my beacon of strength during these dark times, supporting me with unwavering love and encouragement. In an attempt to reclaim my sense of self and regain my composure, I distanced myself from anything related to cryptocurrencies. I logged out of exchanges, abandoned my wallets, and even avoided discussing the topic altogether. It was a period of healing and self-reflection, allowing me to reevaluate my approach and mistakes.

Inspired by the desire to create a supportive community, I decided to launch this Crypto Gree Blog where the term “Gree” symbolizes victory, a beacon of hope for those who have faced losses in the crypto world. My vision for the blog is simple – to provide a platform where we can help each other navigate the complexities of cryptocurrencies transparently and honestly. The blog would be a place of shared experiences, where we would learn from each other’s mistakes, grow as a community, and embrace failure as the stepping stone to success.
Through the blog, I aim to offer free and reliable knowledge to those who have experienced struggles like mine.
